Cross Sufferings

Christ suffered physically, emotionally and spiritually while going through the sufferings on the cross for our sins. Physically, Jesus was scourged, beaten and was crowned with thorns (John 19:1-2). He carried the cross while going to Golgotha. Emotionally, Jesus must have been thinking about the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, and denial of Simon Peter (John 18:27)

Cross Relationships

When Jesus was crucified on the cross, He balanced his vertical and horizontal relationships. He maintained the vertical relationship with His Father in Heaven by praying for forgiveness of those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34), and commending His spirit to the hands of the Father (Luke 23:46).

Lord God would raise leaders

Today is US Elections Day. During this time, various US Senators, House of Representatives, State Governors and other leaders are elected. Please pray for the candidates as well as voters – that our Lord God would raise leaders who would be able to rule the people in the fear of the Lord.
