While we THANK the LORD for doing His wondrous work in us, we also need to THANK the LORD for others. Paul the Apostle has mentioned in most of his epistles where he THANKS God for the recipients of the letters…
Christ suffered physically, emotionally and spiritually while going through the sufferings on the cross for our sins. Physically, Jesus was scourged, beaten and was crowned with thorns (John 19:1-2). He carried the cross while going to Golgotha. Emotionally, Jesus must have been thinking about the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, and denial of Simon Peter (John 18:27)
When Jesus was crucified on the cross, He balanced his vertical and horizontal relationships. He maintained the vertical relationship with His Father in Heaven by praying for forgiveness of those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34), and commending His spirit to the hands of the Father (Luke 23:46).
