Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3,4
The very essence of Christ’s mission on this earth and the foundation of a Christian life is stated in the above verse. The entire verse is “That Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures that he buried that he was raised on the third day”.
Before the trail, in several instances Jesus knew what was in peoples heart and he rebuked them.
When the pharisees and sadducees subtly questioned Him, He answered them with power filled words. He wasn’t silent for any reason. But when He was in the trail… he did not open His mouth. He was despised, rejected, man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He did all this for you and me. He had every chance of escaping the crucial death. But He chose to die to deliver us from sin. He loves us immensely. He bore our sins upon Him and died for us. According to the scriptures was it fulfilled.
As we ponder upon this devotion today may we be drawn closer to Him and if you haven’t accepted Christ as your personal savior may the Holy Spirit God work deep within you.
