The eternal God is thy refuge. Deut. 33:27
Refuge is a place of shelter or protection from danger.
In Old Testament times God placed six cities, spread across the land, were appointed by Moses and later by Joshua, under God's direction. Upon reaching a city of refuge, the fugitive stated his case to the elders at the city gate and was received hospitably. Spiritually God is our Refuge. He is the one in whom we can undoubtedly rely on. He is our Refuge at all times.
