Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy Lk 10:19
The Seventy disciples that Jesus sent on a gospel mission in Luke 10, were successful. They returned joyfully that they were able to have victory over demons.
Jesus gave them power and authority to overcome the enemy. At the same time, He also warned not to have the pride in it, but to rejoice that their names were written in heaven.
All our victories over Satan, are obtained by the power derived from Jesus Christ, and he must have all the praise. But let us beware of spiritual pride.
Rejoice in the higher cause, as Jesus equips us to have authority and power to spread the gospel.
Lord, thank you for the power and authority you have bestowed us in your name, that we might rejoice in you. Amen!
