… the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ. Heb 13:20
Covenant means an agreement or an alliance between two parties. To have peace between the two parties, an exchange must be made.
In today’s verse, the two parties are God and His people, that is us. For us to have peace with God our sin must be traded.
In the old Testament times, sheep were sacrificed to exchange the sin. In the New Testament, God exchanged His Son, the great Shepherd for our sin.
It is because of His eternal covenant that He made with the mankind, God brought back Lord JESUS CHRIST from the dead, so that we can have peace with God, by believing in HIM.
Lord, we thank you for the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, so that we could have peace with you in Jesus name, Amen!
