The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Headship of Jesus!

…He is the head of the body, the church: … that in all things He might have the preeminence. Col 1:18

Preeminence means superiority or supremacy.

Jesus has the preeminence over the creation and all that is created in heaven and earth, because He is before all things and in Him all things hold together.

Jesus alone is the Head of the church and the Church is the body of Christ. That means, there is a living relationship between Christ and the church. And we are under the headship of Christ.

As the Head, Jesus nourishes our body, supplies life to us through His Spirit and reigns in Spirit and grace, protects us and defends us.

Lord Jesus, thank you for making us a part of your body. Charge us this day that we might serve You through our bodies for Your honor and glory. In Jesus name. Amen!
