Jesus Christ, our advocate stands before the Father to plead for our sin.
We are guilty of sin. Our innocence and our righteousness cannot be pleaded. It’s our advocate’s own righteousness that he must plead for us. He Himself, became the propitiation for “the whole world, fulfilling the divine justice before the Father’s throne.
Even as believer’s we continue to sin until we are glorified. We continually need God’s forgiveness to walk in holiness, so that our fellowship with God is restored.
Lord Jesus, thank you for interceding on behalf of us an advocate, so that we might be forgiven, purified and strengthened. Help us to overcome sin, not only confessing it. In Jesus name. Amen!
