"For as the body is one, and hath many members,…: so also is Christ" 1 Cor 12:12
Paul uses the brilliant illustration of the human body to relate working of the Christian community. As the “head” is the most important part of the body, the name “Christ” here is the head of the church.
As blood-bought Children(members) we belong to the same Lord, filled with the same Spirit, given gifts by that same Spirit, and intended to function together as one body(CHRIST) to serve HIS purpose.
Dear Lord: Help us to live as one body and work unitedly as Christ lived. Amen!
