Zion Calendar Verse – May 25, 2018
"…he took bread, and blessed it, and brake and gave to them..their eyes were opened." Luke 24:30,31
Jesus clears disciples disbelief by revealing himself to them.
The bread here is not an ordinary meal, it is the sacred symbol of his body. GOD gave this bread to his children with usual authority and affection. This feeding is not only strengthening us but also enlightens our soul.
Eyes were opened doesn't mean they are blind, it means the eyes were mistaken, confused and covered. Whenever we are in a blind situation, God will reveal himself to us by his spirit and through his scriptures to open our eyes until we know HIM.
Gracious Father: Help us to offer thanksgiving to the Author of our life, whenever we have our physical meal as well as a spiritual meal. Open our eyes and let your spirit and grace be with us to revive our soul. Amen!
