Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week,
He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. Mark. 16:9
We as Christians, do not serve the memories of a dead God, but the presence of a Living GOD, who through his death and resurrection broke the sting of death and won victory over sin. After his resurrection, Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene, who was a woman filled with demon spirits. When she had an encounter with Jesus, her life took a 360 degree turn. Since then, she held onto her faith in Christ and became a worshiper. Before we accepted the Lord as our saviour, we were also like Mary, filled with sin and no hope, but GOD sought us and revealed himself to our spiritual eyes, so that we could repent of our sins and accept him as our Lord and Savior.
Prayer: Gracious GOD, thank you for coming into this world and dying for our sins on the cross of Calvary, and rising up the third day. Thank you Lord for pursuing us and for giving us a living hope. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
