Sir, we wish to see Jesus. John 12:21
The above words were mentioned by some of the Greeks who came to see Jesus. They might have heard about him and all the miracles which he had done, but they desired to have a personal encounter with him.
The Jews, who saw all the great things which he had done, always asked for a sign, but these men were not interested in signs and wonders, but wanted to see him, learn from him and be transformed!
Conclusion: Jesus came into this world to save sinners like you and me!! Like the Greeks, we should desire to have a personal relationship with him and not just seek him for material benefits.
Prayer: Gracious God, thank you for dying on the cross for every sinner in this world. We desire to have a personal relationship with you and not just seek the material blessings. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
