For we are labourers together with God. 1 Cor. 3:9
We as believers are members of God’s family. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using us, fitting us in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts of the building together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home.
Among the many names given to us as believers, one is “Laborers together with God”(1 Cor 3:9). The same is found in 2 Cor.6: 1 “We then, as workers together with Him” God reserved that privilege and responsibility exclusively for God’s people. Only those who are truly born again and have received the gift of eternal life have this privilege to take part in building God’s house. We are saved to save others. God desires that each of us be active in bringing the lost to Him as His fellow workers. May we continually be conscious of God’s desire in our lives.
