O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong. Dan 10:19
Fear not is such a comforting word! Isn’t it? Here, the angel of the Lord told Daniel “Fear not : . . .be strong” and Daniel confirms in v 19 “I was strengthened”. God’s word has power. It is a blessing that we can experience his power in our lives. And when we exhibit his power in our lives, it’s a testimony before the world and God is glorified.
BUT, to whom is this word given? A man greatly beloved. How and why was Daniel greatly beloved? V 12 mentions the reason as to why the angel visited Daniel. “Fear not: from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and humble thyself before GOD”.
From the first hour of this day, may we also resolve to set our hearts to understand and humble ourselves so that we would be strengthened for the day ahead of us.
