The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee. Ruth 2:12
These are the words of Boaz to Ruth before allowing her to work in his field. Once we are born again, our heavenly Boaz also tells the same and we are his heavenly Ruth.
We are called to serve people in the spirit of Jesus who said, “Not to be served but to serve!” (Mt 20:28). Such a service demands sacrifice. According to Apostle Paul it’s literally pouring out of ourselves for the good of people. As we read in Phil 2:17, ”I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith”. Sincere and sacrificial labour for the glory of God and the good of man will not go unnoticed by the Almighty (Heb 6:10). Though the full reward is only in eternity, God blesses us with joy.
A Christian worker is a Servant of God! As such, our supreme motive must be to please God and earn His approval in everything we do. May we use the little time we have and be available to God so that he can give us full reward!!
