“Amaziah asked the man of God, “But what about all that silver I paid to hire the army of Israel?” The man of God replied, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this!”” 2 Chronicles 25:9.
King Amaziah received a promise from God with the the instruction to follow but he was hesitant to obey considering his materialistic loss to follow the instructions.
We all pray for true wisdom (which can only come from the Lord). We need Lord’s help! So meditate on scriptures and read books that are written by Holy Spirit-filled believers who encourage us to look to Jesus for any wisdom and not to man or ourselves. Psalm 1:1 tells us this from the start: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly.” This means that there is counsel in human wisdom. But the man who does not walk according to the wisdom of the world is the man who is blessed! Psalm 1:3 provide more strength to it, “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
Brother and sisters, make a decision to walk in the counsel of the godly and not in the counsel of the world, and you will see whatever you do according Lord’s will; will prosper. The Bible tells us that in Him “are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2–3), so we must keep looking to Jesus. Draw on His divine wisdom and see the difference it will make to our lives!
