The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Righteous Lord

“You are always righteous, Lord, when I bring a case before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease?” Jeremiah 12:1.

We often complain like the prophet Jeremiah is complaining when he was grieved at the prosperity of the wicked; we sometimes wonders how, consistently with God’s righteousness, vice should often be in affluence, and piety in suffering and poverty. We all believe that God is righteous, and every thing he does is done well; but we still wishes to inquire how these apparently unequal and undeserved lots take place. We often think of immediate physical and material rewards to be received in the service of God. We reason with God, and expect to receive answer quickly. We unknowingly get into a sin of jealousy and envy. Instead of this we must come towards our Lord seeking for His kingdom and putting Him first in everything we do and in return we receive the joy and peace which will help us overcome this situation for the rest of our lives.
