He Always protect and provide for His people. His power works best in our weakness.
Genesis 15:1.
“Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, “Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great.””
God is the defense of His people. He shields them from danger. We don’t have to be terrified by our adversaries. We must commit our causes and ways to God (see Psalms 120:1-7; Psalms 121:1-8.). We are called to endure much, and to give up much, for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. We are not promised the compensation of pecuniary wealth, honor, and praise among men. But God Himself is our reward. We need a shield against the inevitable evils of existence. We may fight ever so bravely, but the spears of life will be too many and too sharp for us. And no shield will thoroughly defend us but God. So today leave everything on Him and lean for His presence with all our weaknesses and calamities and have Him cleanse us and heal us from all our weaknesses.
