But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living GOD, then heavenly Jerusalem. Hebrews 12:22
Mount Zion signifies a place where GOD meets his people. We are not holy enough to be worthy of his presence. It was terrifying in the sight when GOD comes to Mount Zion to talk to his people. Moses himself trembled with fear. Even a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.
Because of Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant and His sprinkled sinless blood, we have now come to Mount Zion to the Living GOD, the Judge of all.
He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. GOD is treating you as sons. He disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. He chose us in him, before the foundations of the earth, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
Lord! I love you. I surrender myself to you. Cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ from every defilement of body and spirit, and bring my holiness into completion in the fear of the Lord. In Jesus name. Amen!
