Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! Psalms 139:23

The Lords says in Jeremiah “ I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve”.
Heart refers to control the desires, emotions and other intangible parts of our being. The mind typically refers to control our intellect, reason and thoughts. Believing in GOD’s abilities requires the mind, but to trust the Lord requires heart.

GOD is looking for a circumcised heart who loves and trusts in him. We must open our hearts to GOD by removing all coverings and reservations. David cries out to GOD to give him a clean and pure heart, without which he cannot please GOD. It has become his routine, to work on his heart and mind, to be pleasing in GOD’s sight. What a wonderful testimony of GOD about David that he is a man after GOD’s own heart. He will do anything for GOD.

How is your heart this morning? Is it pleasing and searchable by GOD? Can GOD testify us? May the LORD give us His knowledge and understanding to work on our hearts every day to be pleasing in his sight.

Lord! I love you. Please give me a clean heart which is pleasing in your sight. Give me the heart to serve you and love you all my life. Help me to have an attitude of renewed mind which is acceptable to your sight. In Jesus name. Amen!
