I will teach you the good and the right way: 1Samuel 12:23
Israel rejected GOD as their king and demanded that they need a king like other nations. GOD chose for them a king. Samuel rebuked the people for demanding a king and told them about GOD’s displeasure. As thunder and rain came, people feared and begged Samuel to pray for them that they would not die.
Samuel does not want to sin against the LORD by not praying for them. He says, he will teach them the good and right way. The LORD will not reject his people for his great name’s sake, because the LORD was pleased to make them his own.
We are surrounded by many such people in our own families, friends, workplace and other social communities etc. We need to pray for them that they should be saved, else it is considered as sinning against the LORD. Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth and the Life”. He is a good GOD. Let us not miss any opportunity to pray and preach the gospel about Jesus and his work on the cross. Whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Lord! I praise your glorious name for you are a good and loving God. Thank you for saving me by your grace. Please give me a burden to preach the gospel and pray for people and their salvation. In Jesus name. Amen!
