The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Our GREAT God

I will… show thee great… Things – Jer. 33:3
One of the definitions of the “great” is – the ability of someone considerably above their normal or average strength. If a doctor performs a great operation or an engineer builds something great, they have done considerably above the normal in their own field. In my opinion “great” is a relative term. An ant can uphold over 1000 times its body weight, which is great for ants, but that is nothing for humans. Similarly, whatever its great for humans, it is nothing compared to God’s capacity.
Now observe today’s verse… If God himself can show us great things, definitely it's beyond our comprehension. God, who is great in “love” and “power” came down as Jesus, showed us “great things” and granted us “great salvation”.
William Carey said, “Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God”. While expecting great things, let’s strive to do more than above our normal strength.
Have a GREAT day ahead.
