Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord – Mk. 11:9
Most of us love cricket. If our favorite cricketer makes us happy by hitting or taking wickets, we woo the player, but when the player fails, we boo the player.
A similar situation has happened in the Bible. On Palm Sunday people chanted, “Hosanna in the highest” and they thought, Jesus, came as an earthly king and would redeem them from the earthly bondage. But some people who blessed Him on Sunday, cursed on a weekday (Friday) by saying “crucify Him”. But they did not know that Jesus came for a greater reason.
The scene repeats even today. We bless our Lord on Sunday, but when He doesn’t grant us what we want, we may curse Him on a weekday. Let us not bring the “praise” and “curse” from the same mouth (Jas 3:10), instead, let us keep “his praise continually be in our mouth” as God always does what is best for us.
Have a BLESSED day ahead.
