“I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart.” – 1 Kings 3:12
King Solomon was the wisest person who lived on the earth. In 1 Kings 3, King Solomon prayed for “an understanding heart” to tackle problems. In return, God gave “a wise and understanding heart”, which helped him to rule Israel.
Are you also seeking wisdom to tackle your daily problems? Let’s understand what kind of wisdom you are going after. James 3 talks about two kinds of wisdom:
The 1st wisdom’s “root” is – earthly/demonic (15) and its “fruit” is – “confusion” (16).
The 2nd wisdom’s “root” is – “from above/God” (17) and its “fruit” is – “pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, full of mercy, without partiality and hypocrisy” (18).
If you need the wisdom from above today, “we should ask God, who gives to everyone generously without a rebuke” (Jas 1:5). Our God is a prayer “listening” and “answering” God.
Have a great WISDOM day ahead.
