“I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by” – Zech 3:7
The tabernacle is divided into 3 areas:
The “Outer Court”, where Jews and Gentiles are allowed;
The “Holy Place”, where only priests are allowed;
The “Most Holy Place”, where ONLY a high priest can enter once a year on the day of atonement. There is a strong veil separates this section.
With our sinful nature we could never enter into the “Holy of Holies”, however after Jesus died on the cross, “the veil of the temple was torn into two”. After this, with boldness, we can enter the Most Holy Place (presence of God) through the blood of Jesus by a new and living way which Jesus has consecrated for us, through the veil that is His flesh.
As we have access to God’s presence through Christ’s blood, let us offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
