Most of us might have experienced power outages. When there is an outage in the night, we are left in pitch darkness. We immediately search for a lamp or a candle for the smallest beam of light. When we light it up, we can see a little better. Once the power is restored, we are delighted to be in the light as we are able to see everything clearly.
Likewise, the Bible says that we are all sinners by birth and in spiritual darkness. In the light of Jesus, our true sinful condition becomes visible to us, giving birth to our need for a Savior. Jesus is the light we need to lead us away from a dark sinful life into eternal life. Have you allowed the light of Christ to shine in your life? If not, accept Him today to be your Savior and His presence will protect and guide you all the days of your life.
