“You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God.” – Jonah 2:6
Jonah was a great prophet, but he went away from the Lord’s direction and so his life was going in one direction only – down! He went down to Joppa, boarded a ship and went down into the bottom of it. When he was thrown out of the ship, he again went down into the stomach of a large fish. Ultimately, his life was in a pit of destruction when he cried out to the Living God. God was merciful towards him and rescued his life from the deepest pit.
Let’s examine our lives! If you’ve also messed up your life and went away from Him, Jesus is calling you again to return to Him. He can turn your ‘mess’ into a ‘message’ and rescue you!
