“I AM with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee.” – Acts 18:10
A famous British preacher, when he was young, used to read the Bible to two elderly women, every week. One evening he read to them from Matt 28. Meditating on the last verse which says, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”, he said encouragingly, “Isn’t that a wonderful promise?!” Then one of them replied, “Young man, that’s not a promise – It is a fact!”
Paul was going through a crisis in his ministry at Corinth, when the Lord reminded him that He was with him. Likewise, God is reminding us today of His name – Immanuel, which means God with us. If God is with us, then no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper!!
