The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God first

“I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” – Psalm 16:8

Eric Liddell, a well-known Scotland sprinter was scheduled to run a 100-meter race for the Olympic Gold medal. But, since the race was scheduled on a Sunday, he refused to run, even though he prepped for it and was favored to win the gold medal. He gave God the first priority. The result: God honored him by enabling him to win the gold medal in a 400-meter race, which he didn’t even prepare for!

Psalmist David’s experience is also the same. David put God first in his life and was determined to keep God as his primary focus. The result: David was called ‘A Man after God’s own heart’.

What’s your priority today? Is God the first in your life? The future is your friend when Jesus is your Lord!
