“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.” – Lamentations 3:22
Did you know that the President has the sole power to grant mercy to anyone who is wrongfully convicted? He can grant mercy in two ways: Commutation – which decreases the sentence being served and Pardon – which erases the conviction. Even after granting mercy, their crimes are still documented for a lifetime.
Likewise, if we examine our own lives, we are doomed to death and deserve to be punished because of our sins which are great! But, the Mercy of our LORD is greater! If we repent, He not only forgives our sins, but He remembers them no more.
Let’s be grateful today for His compassions that fail not!!
