The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Resting in God!

“My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from him.” – Psalm 62:5

There is a true story told about a dog. The dog’s large metal water bowl was located in the corner of the room. Each time it was empty, the dog would lie down quietly beside it and wait. Sometimes he had to wait several minutes, but he learned to trust his master that he would look at his condition and provide what he needed.

Many a times, when we go through difficult situations, the first thing we do is complain and ask God – “Why me?” Instead, like the psalmist David, let us trust God to be our deliverer and rest in His strength. He will never leave us nor forsake us and will certainly give us the break-through in His time.

When we are resting in God’s strength, nothing can shake us!
