I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Paul before mentioning final greetings in his letter to Philippian church is thanking for the gifts they have blessed him with. Therefore was recollecting God's Provision for him. He learned in whatever situation he is in to be content in ups and downs of life. In every circumstance he learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. With that as context he mentions this verse " I can do all things through him who strengthens me". He learned the secret, a timeless truth which served as an anchor to his restless heart. The sufficiency of Christ has led him to have a strong heart of contentment.
Jesus is our friend, our savior, our provider and our Lord. This is the essence what we needed the most. He is the God who strengthens us at all times – during ups and downs of life. May we express gratitude and live in content regardless of the outcome – all because of the strength we possess as a follower of Christ.
