The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Shelter & Protection

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in his pavilion. Psalms 27:5

This verse gives an excellent reason for the psalmist's desire after communion with God, namely, that he was secured in the hour of trouble. It is the continuation of the most prominent verses mentioned by the Psalmist about his desire for the house of the Lord.  Therefore in the secret of his house or tabernacle he shall hide us.

God has not promised for the deliverance from the time of trouble but in the time of trouble He promised to hide us in His pavilion. Who can attack us if God himself hides us ?

Pavilion resembles a shelter, a place to hide, a protected area from any possible attacks from enemy or from threatening evil.

Such a good God we serve! We have a shelter in Him and in His presence. May we desire more of Him. May we desire to dwell in His courts. May we escape from the darts of enemy. Be encouraged. There is hope in the Lord.
