He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. Psalms 103:9
There are numerous instances in the Bible when God was angry with His people. The key reason at all times was because of the recurrent sins in spite of His correction. He would sometimes rebuke for He cannot bear that His people harbor sins in their heart. As soon as His people turn towards Him, He will end His chiding.
The Bible says – My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord nor be weary when reproved by Him. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.
If there's a realization in our heart this day about that specific sin which we are recurrently committing then may we repent. Remember He is slow to anger, abounding in Love, gracious and compassionate God. He will neither always rebuke nor keeps His anger forever.
