… exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47
God saved David from violence, from strong enemies. His danger was great and threatening. Men rose up against him, hated him. He was surrounded by death on every side. In all this God was his Rock of Salvation.
Rock signifies a symbol of strength and permanence. A place where people in danger often took refuge. God is depicted as the Rock of Salvation and Deliverance for His people.
Truly when we look back He was and is our Rock of Salvation too. While we were doomed to eternal hellfire, He delivered us. He gifted us with Salvation. On this earth amidst all the daily battles He is our Rock of Salvation.
Why not we join with King David to exalt our God and sing praises unto Him !!
