The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Known to be vulnerable.

When I said, my foot slippeth; thy mercy oh Lord, held me up.” Psalm 94:18

In this verse, “my foot slippeth” has several ways of understanding. It is all related to the emotional weakness. This psalmist is in heavy distress. He is broken either by the circumstances or the weakness of falling in sin. He is hopeful about the mercies he has been promised to receive. As humans we all should accept that we all tend to be weak and struggle with falling in our temptations. We’re highly vulnerable and constantly in need of protection from our sinful nature. Unless we are deeply rooted in the words of God, we have no strength to protect ourselves.

We are always in need of the one who can be our protection. For a moment just reread this to observe what this psalmist is trying depict, if we stay focused we’ll be able to transform ourselves by keeping His words in our lives. Just as a GPS requires someone to put an address to direct us, similarly we need God and His words in our lives to stay on a correct path and continuously move towards our everlasting destiny. May the Lord our God be with us now and forevermore, and His mercies never end.
