The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Choose the one who knows and can help to build or re-build.

“My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1.

John is trying to build the maturity. However, John realized that believers still be capable of sin. He tried his best to make this clear to them and for us as well, but also leads towards the perfect hope we have in our Lord Jesus Christ when we are under the influence of our nature. This passage is a great message of reassurance of all believers. We all know that we have to pay for everything in this world to meet our daily needs, and we all know if we are under some trials, simple as overspending; we all are stressed because we have to pay a fine and sometimes fee to our lawyers, attorneys, and legal consultants. But, here if even we mess up every day, we have a lawyer who is at the ultimate court house. He gave himself and continue to plea for us to save us. In this verse, Jesus is called "advocate;" He is "with" God the Father; He is the "Christ," meaning "Anointed One;" and He is "the righteous" one. John heavily emphasizes the greatness of Jesus.

He also highlights the sufficiency of Christ over sin and His role as advocate on our behalf before the Father. Other New Testament passages, such as Romans 8:34 and Hebrews 7:25, also describe Jesus in the role of an advocate for believers. What a wonderful gift we have receive every day of our lives. Let’s continue to praise Him for this reason. Continue to practice saying commonly used phrases “Praise the Lord.” Truly if we simply look at this one verse and realize the meaning behind this verse to feel what He does every day in our lives, it will be more than enough to praise Him 24/7/365.
