“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.” Psalm 46:5.
When I read this verse I immediately thought, Who is this mysterious lady in Psalm 46:5? My friends, when I read the whole thing I realize that the Psalmist is not referencing any particular man or a woman. In its historical context, Psalm 46 spoke to a nation that faced many great enemy nations. These enemies threatened Israel’s physical safety and national sovereignty. But Psalm 46 reminded the people that their God is greater than any enemy. Brothers and sisters in Christ, our God is greater than any other and He is always going to be the same. As our human nature, we often take things out of the context and don’t see the things clearly. What a benefit is it, if you took a picture and it is not fully focused.
You call those pictures useless and pick the ones which are fully focused. So I encourage all of us that when we are reading scriptures, we must see or try to observe the depth of it. Don’t consider the Bible verses just as good stories, instead use them in our daily lives. That will bring glory to God and his promise will be fulfilled. May the Lord lead us and provide us the wisdom through the Holy Spirit to understand and apply it to our lives.
