The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Enjoy what you do.

“Do all things without grumbling or disputing,” Philippians 2:14.

It is worthless to do things just for the sake of doing. This is common in our physical nature, but the spiritual nature always prompts us to do things willfully. The things done willfully are the things that pleases God. Jesus gave so many examples where he explains that the things done halfheartedly are not acceptable. If you are a parent you might know the feeling. Remember the time when your kids do something you asked them to do, but did it with a heavy heart, not out of joy but just as they are forced to obey. How did you feel that time? Your soul might be crushed and sometimes you outburst and tell them about your efforts to raise them or nurture them.

Now realize how God who has provided us everything feels when we serve Him but with grumbling or just to get things done because it has to be done. Do you think He enjoys that? No, He doesn’t enjoy instead it is equal to an abomination to Him. The things that come out of the heart are desirable but if it is not willfully done, it loses the value and neither you or Him will enjoy the results. So, next time when you are asked to do something in His service do it wholeheartedly and see the difference how it is blessed.
