The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Do Not Worry – One Day at a Time

So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. Matthew 6:34

There was an elderly woman who fell down and broke her hip. The doctor treated the best he could and said to her, now you have a long way of uncomfortable recovery. The next day when the doctor saw her again, she, with a lot of anxiety asked the doctor, Oh Doctor, how long am I going to stay in bed? With a lot of wisdom and kindness, he said, Only one day – One day at a time. Another wise lady who has gone through a lot in her life said: "I have had a lot of trouble in my life, most of it never happened”. how true is this? Bible says in Matthew 6:27, "Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" We cannot. This should take a great burden off our shoulders and help us to not worry about tomorrow. This does not mean that we don’t have a plan, but our primary goal in life is to bring souls to our Master. When we seek His righteousness, God will take care of our material and daily needs. Trusting in God’s righteousness eliminates worry and *"little faith".*Not knowing these, we tend to worry, work for things of the future and currently losing the blessings we have in seeking His righteousness.  Remember the Israelites whom God took care of in the wilderness, by giving them manna. He gives grace and guidance – One day at a time.
