The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God of Hope, Peace and Joy

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.  Romans 15:13
Society today tells us that we need to do what makes us happy and what pleases us because we are "worth it " and we "deserve it".  On the contrary, we as Christians know that we do not deserve anything good, but God of all hope graciously promises joy and peace as we trust in Him.
Rom 15:3 explains that we have Hope through endurance and the encouragement of Scriptures. We are also called to bear with others (vs 1), to deny our freedoms for the sake of a weak brother ( Romans 14:21), to follow Jesus example, who became a servant ( v 8), so that both Jews and Gentiles have Hope. Many people that we know are dying without any hope, people in our own circle, family and friends. Are we being a lighthouse to them to bring hope? Do we have any such conversations with them?

Thought for today: Are we trying to get Joy and peace by pleasing ourselves or are we following Jesus example to bring hope to others?
