Pray without ceasing.
-1 Thessalonians 5:17
Today’s Verse:
In today’s verse, The apostle Paul encourages the Thessalonians to pray continually and regularly. We, believers, don’t have to bow heads nor fold hands nor do the shastanga namaskara (prostrate posture), but pray silently. The prayer is nothing but communication with the GOD.
The following are not at all primary importance for praying constantly
· The place of prayer
· The particular time of prayer
· The posture of prayer
· The vocabulary of words
The best example is Jesus himself as he prayed morning (Mark 1:35), evening (Mark 6:45–47) before feeding 5000 people (Matthew 14:19–21) and many more.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it is my great pleasure to praise you and worship you on an everyday morning for keeping me in healthy and alive. Thanks for giving ample time to pray. Listen to the church families prayers. Thank you for being my healer, protector, and provider and for every good thing that comes from your hands. I commit this day to you and ask you to go before me. In the name of Jesus, Amen
