Psalm 119:68 – You are good and do good. Teach me your statutes.
God is good All the time and All the time God is good.
Goodness is the attribute of God and He demonstrates it every day in our lives. We witness it with our eyes, ears, smell, taste and touch.
Moreover, it’s only because of His goodness:
– we are not consumed
– We are not condemned
– We are not forsaken
But,
– we are saved
– We are accepted
– we are forgiven
As contrary with man, the good deeds of man are as filthy rags. There is no goodness in us.
As psalmist prays to God to teach His statutes, let that be our prayer also today that also may resemble Him in being and doing good.
Dear Lord, the giver of all good gifts, please grant us obedience in our hearts to follow your statutes. In Jesus name, Amen!
