Phil 1:9 – … that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment.
Our journey as a believer is based on the truth that Jesus loves us and gave us His life.
And Jesus Himself had set a standard for us to love one another, as He has loved us. (John 13:34)
Biblical love is not based on feelings, emotions or traditions, but on true knowledge and careful discernment.
True knowledge of God is revealed in the Word of God. And discernment comes from the true knowledge of God.
As Apostle Paul prayed for the Philippians, so would be our prayer as well, that as we study the scriptures, we might grow in knowledge and obtain discernment, so that our love might abound.
