…What has my lord to say to his servant? Joshua 5:14
GOD appointed Joshua to succeed Moses as leader of the Israelites along with giving him a blessing of invincibility during his lifetime.
But yet Joshua refers himself as a servant in front of commander of Lord’s army. He did not show his physical identity when he dealt with heavenly/spiritual matters.
Joshua recognized and acknowledged the commander and showed absolute obedience and readiness to listen what GOD has to say. No wonder, GOD testified about Joshua that “No one will stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.”
By the grace of the GOD and His blessings, we may be given a good title or position, highest honors and privileges, etc. on this earth. Remember, we should always have a servant heart, to serve the Lord and to work for the extension of His kingdom.
Father GOD! We love you. Give me the courage and teach me to have a heart of a servant, show absolute obedience to your presence and keenness to your word and to live a victorious life for your glory. Please help me to build my testimony like Joshua in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen!
