The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Thanksgiving

Fell on his face at His feet, giving Him thanksLuke 17:16

In those days, leprosy was a highly contagious disease and the lepers were totally cut off from the family and community.  The 10 lepers whom we see in book of Luke were in such miserable situation while they called out to Jesus. He offered them hope and they were cleansed on their way. But out of the ten lepers who were healed only one returned to give thanks to God for his healing. He was a Samaritan (Gentile). Jesus informs the healed leper that his faith had made him whole. This foreigner not only receives his healing but also his salvation.

As we are in the season of thanksgiving, we should be like the Samaritan leper who prioritized to give thanks to God. Like him we should be thankful to God for every blessing we receive from Him.  Every good and perfect gift is from above – James 1:17

Thanksgiving should be the virtue of a believer.

Prayer: I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds among all people. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!!!
