I will deliver thee in that day – Jeremiah 39:17
God is assuring Ebed-melech the Cushite- When the Chaldeans come and attack the city his life will be spared as he trusted the living God. We read in Prov 29:25, Fear of man will prove to be snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
After being saved by His grace, as a believer we are constantly attacked by the devil. Everyone has a weakness or open doors through which the devil tries to sneak in. He is always behind us. We read in Job 1:7 the LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” The Lord is the one who helps to close the open doors and delivers us from evil.
Old testament patriot David was constantly delivered by God from his enemies. He says, “You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.” – Psalms 20:7.
The Lord who delivered Daniel from Lion’s den will deliver you/me from anxiety and worries of the world.
Prayer: Father God, you are my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. In the days of trouble, I will call upon you and you will deliver me. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!!
