The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil – The word of the Lord assures that we will be protected from diseases and pestilence. Our safety comes from Lord. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps – Psalms 121:4.
Ungodly put their trust on powerful people or princes. Scriptures says not put trust on men. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in prince – Psalms 118:9
He shall preserve thy soul – Word of Lord assures protection of Soul too. While on earth, our Soul is sanctified day in and day out by Holy Spirit. As we read in Thess 4:13-15 & 1 Corinthians 15:52 -Even after our death, God preserves the soul until it is reunited with the body during the second coming of Jesus. In the twinkling of the eye, earthly body will be glorified.
Psalms 91:7 – A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
