…this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us… (Isa. 25:9)
We are a people of hurry and wanted to get things quickly and immediately. As generations pass by (Baby Boomers to Gen X to Millennials to Gen Z), patience and waiting time is deflating. Patience, faith, and self-control are part of the fruit of Spirit.
In today’s verse, we can observe two words “wait” and He will “save”. This means, don’t just wait and waste the time, but “wait” and have a “faith” and “focus” on God so that He will “save” us. When Israelites were in fear of Egyptians, God said, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today” (Exo 14:13). If you have too much anxiety on something or afraid of something, let us remember His promise, “cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7) and remember that “if God be for us, who can against us?”
