Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)
In this world, many religions believe that their own righteous acts will wash away their sins. But the Bible says, “all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment” (Isa 64:6). Then, who can take away our sins? If you ask Robert Lowry, he wrote a song like this:
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
If you ask John the Baptist, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God (Jesus), which takes away the sin of the world”. If you agree with both of them and accept Jesus as your savior, you are saved. If not, realize that your own works cannot save you, only the Lamb of God who offered Himself on the cross can only give save you.
